Privacy, in plain English.
The short version: we collect your email address only if you join the waitlist, we use it only to tell you about Cleomail, and we never sell it. No cookies, no ads, no tracking.
Who we are
Cleomail (cleomail.co) is an independent project run by its founder. For anything about your data, email hello@cleomail.co. A real person reads every message.
What we collect
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the date you signed up. That’s all the form asks for.
- Emails you send us. If you write to hello@cleomail.co, we receive your message and address so we can reply.
- Basic server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider briefly records technical details of each request (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure. We don’t use these to identify or profile you.
We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or any other tracking on this website.
How we use it
We use your waitlist email to tell you when Cleomail opens and, occasionally, to share important product news. We use emails you send us only to reply. We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who helps us run things
We rely on a few trusted providers, who process data only on our behalf:
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Supabase stores the waitlist, on servers in the United States.
- Cloudflare provides our domain’s DNS and routes email sent to hello@cleomail.co.
- Google (Gmail) is the inbox where we read and answer your emails.
Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. If you’re outside the US, your data may be transferred there.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist email until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it to tell you about Cleomail. You can leave the list at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@cleomail.co from the address you signed up with, and we’ll act on it promptly. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Cleomail is for businesses and isn’t intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
When the Cleomail app launches, it will handle more data (like your account and the drafts you write), and we’ll update this page before that happens. If we make a significant change, we’ll tell people on the waitlist by email.
